When the viscosity index is higher, the lubricating oil is less affected by temperature and maintains good lubricity — one of the most important indicators.
Tests foam volume and elimination speed at different temperatures. Faster elimination means better oil film coverage and a more stable oil film.
Detects lubricating oil operation at low temperature — especially for 0W, 5W grades. The lower the value, the larger the flow value covered at low temperatures.
